A powerful encoder that can issue batch-file processes
The application can load either single files or entire folders. Users that keep all their multimedia files in one directory will surely find this feature very handy! The supported conversion formats include (both to and from): AVI, MP3, MP4, MKV, WAV, AAC or FLV.
Once the main list is populated with source files, users have the option of discarding any unwanted clips. The selection is performed from within the program, so there is no need for switching to another software.
The interface is highly intuitive and the number of buttons is restricted to the core functions. The background (red, by default) is well-suited to the task at hand and users can always change it in the “Tools” menu.
Several video enhancement options are available
The application allows users a fair amount of video customization when converting files. The basic brightness, contrast, saturation and hue options are available.
More advanced functions, like video trimming and cropping can be accessed by navigating to the “Clip” menu. Having within the same software such a wide range of both simple and complex tools available to users can significantly speed things up!
Given the fact that applying all these effects can considerably alter the source files, the developers have added a “Watermark” function. Users can insert either custom text strings or pictures, both of which support adjustable transparency settings.
An overall efficient resource
4Videosoft MKV Video Converter does little to innovate in its particular field. But it does what it sets out to do marvelously and in a very intuitive environment.
